Health Equity in Tennessee

We believe in better health for all and are taking steps to increase health access across Tennessee so that every person can thrive. Here are just a few of the things we’re doing to improve this across our state:

  • We created the first ever Healthy Tennessee report, to see how various factors impact health.
  • We developed an index to understand how our members’ needs affect their health outcomes.
  • Our BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Foundation has awarded $390,000 in scholarships to 42 outstanding minority health care students since 2012.

We believe in better health for all and are taking steps to increase health equity across Tennessee so that every person can thrive. Here are just a few of the things we’re doing to improve access to care across our state:
